Branding an online only plant-based food delivery service
The brief
The brief was to create a brand identity for Zebra, a London-only plant-based online delivery service catering to young, health-conscious consumers. Zebra sought to offer a streamlined range of products in the growing grocery delivery market while standing out as a forward-thinking, contemporary voice in a saturated space.
To position Zebra as an innovator, the logo features a bold, heavy-weight typeface. Nocturne Serif was selected as the primary typeface for its sharp, pointed serifs that echo the angles of the logo. The use of a serif typeface adds an educational and authoritative tone, balanced by a youthful and dynamic visual style. Collaborating with an illustrator, I developed a suite of assets inspired by the land of the Zebra and indigenous art. A vibrant colour palette was crafted to inject energy and a sense of experimentation, appealing to a youthful audience.
Finally, a raw, unfiltered photographic style was proposed, capturing produce in its natural context, on the farm, in the shop or in the kitchen, being chopped, stirred and baked.
