Branding an online only plant-based food delivery service
Role: Creative Director
The brief was to create the brand identity for a London only plant-based online delivery service. They wanted to offer a stream-lined range of products for a growing sector in the grocery delivery market. Zebra’s target demographic was young health conscious people.
The logo is bold and strong to position Zebra as a forward thinking contemporary voice and innovator in an otherwise saturated grocery delivery market.
I worked with an illustrator to develop a suite of assets rooted in the land of the Zebra, inspired by indigenous art. A vibrant colour palette was formulated to inject a sense of experimentation and energy whilst appealing to a youthful audience.
The sharp, pointed serifs of Nocturne Serif relate to angles of the logo, whilst the unconventional characters feel organic and alive. A serif gave Zebra an educational and authoritative tone of voice that balanced with the youthful graphic approach.
An online space was proposed to live alongside the marketplace to increase engagement and inspire users to shop plant-based.
Fully wrapped delivery vans were designed with several routes proposed.
An A5 fold out, printed on 100% compostable stock was included in food deliveries to inspire to ideas around cooking.
A social media carousel that used a mix of the illustrations, typography and logo positioning.

A raw and unfiltered photographic approach was proposed, of produce taken in situe — on the farm, in the store, in the kitchen, being chopped, stirred and baked.
